Mark & Jaime Scribner have been in full-time ministry for more than 20 years. They both grew up in Branson, Missouri and through a winding road, ended up there again. They have five children, and love to do ministry together.
There are times in our lives when God tells you to do something that in the world’s eyes just doesn’t make sense. This is exactly what Mark and Jaime did in August of 2014. Mark resigned from West Haven Baptist Church after being there just a month shy of 12 years. For over a year he and Jaime had been wrestling with God over some direction in their lives and in a step of obedience to the Lord, they took that first step.
In 2012, Mark and Jaime had the opportunity through their church they were serving at to help create a ministry called Garments of Praise that serves the physical needs of people by giving them free NEW items of clothes. In just 3 events, they saw over 2000 people from 92 different cities receive over 25,000 items of clothes. Most importantly they saw over 60 people give their lives to Christ. Not only did they see the lives of those being served changed, but we also saw the lives of those serving change as well!
The Scribners feel that through this ministry they could see thousands of people and hundreds of churches changed for eternity! Without someone to run this ministry full-time they feel that the blessing of these clothes would go to waste.
With the same faith as Isaiah, they said to the Lord, “Here am I, send me!”
